At Chichen Itza - Summer 2000

Please Allow Me To Explain Who I am...
What I Am Trying To Achieve:

My name is Daniel M. Wright. I live in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. I am a 42-year-old husband, father and internet consultant. I am also an archaeology, cartography and anthropology lay enthusiast. I have visited extensive archaeological ruins in Israel/Palestine, the Pyramids of Giza, the ancient cities of Luxor, Karnak, and the Valley of the Kings as well as Mayan ruins in the Yucatan, including Chichen Itza. Admittedly, I am no authority on these cultures, but I feel that I have a general grasp of their place in history.

So, Why Have I Sent This To You?

I have recently been engaged in a personal study of the geography, cultures and events described in the Book of Mormon. I'm not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints [LDS Church]. This is my own personal inquiry - I represent no organization, commercial entity or group. Apart from any religious question, I am wondering what your view is of these accounts. Is there indeed evidence to validate these Book of Mormon events?
